ローベンチ – mountaineer design

畳の部屋に設置することを想定して作られたローベンチ。高さは一般的な座椅子よりも低く抑え、脚は全体のサイズにしては太めである。畳を守るためでもあるが、そのずんぐりとしたフォルムが愛らしさをより一層増す要因になった。

This low bench was designed to be installed in a tatami room. The height is kept lower than that of a standard seat, and the legs are thicker for the overall size. This is partly to protect the tatami mats, but the chunky form of the bench also makes it even more adorable.
